If possible, I recommend 3 accounts — one per person, and a third for high priority expenses that are always the same (ie rent or mortgage, maybe car payment or insurances, not ALL expenses, that leads back to errors.) Or, just split everything.
That’s what I recommend too. It makes the most sense to me.
But maybe this is why marriage just isn’t for me. I don’t want to be married to anybody who thinks they have a right to what I earn just because they stuck a ring on my finger and we signed some papers.
